The Annual Oh Oh Oh Holiday Essay Contest & School Takeover is a 2-part event that takes place in Miami-Dade and Broward County Public Schools. SouthPromo.com and DJ Nasty 305 of Miami's #1 station for Hip Hop and R&B WEDR 99-Jamz, have joined forces to bring awareness to the importance of education.

This 2-part event kicks off with a 2-week essay contest that is open to pre-selected elementary schools. Once the contest ends, the essays are read through by the SouthPromo.com team and one winner from each of the participating schools is chosen as a winner.

​

The second part to this event is the school takeover party. The winner of the essay contest wins a pizza party for their class and a 99 Jamz official takeover party for the entire school. Along with the pizza party, the student wins a bicycle, a cash prize, and other goodies.

​

With the help of WEDR 99 Jamz, we take over the participating elementary school for the day and provide giveaways to the students  while reminding them about the importance of education.
